Property degradation accelerates due to missed preventative schedules, and discovering reliable, verified contractors involves significant friction and risk. The objective was to build an ecosystem that transforms property management from reactive to predictive, establishing a high-trust, high-liquidity marketplace for services.
HomeCove centralizes the homeowner lifecycle. The platform utilizes a proprietary recommendation engine to generate automated, seasonal maintenance schedules based on property metadata and local climate APIs. When intervention is required, the integrated marketplace instantly matches the user with highly vetted local contractors. The system handles end-to-end workflow: from RFQ (Request for Quote) generation to secure document storage and final milestone-based payments.
The architecture leverages a hybrid deployment model. The consumer-facing mobile application is built in Flutter, ensuring a native-feeling experience across iOS and Android. The contractor and administrative portals are built in Next.js, deployed on Vercel Edge for maximum performance. Firebase handles real-time data synchronization and push notifications, while heavy data processing (matchmaking algorithms, climate data aggregation) runs on Google Cloud Functions, establishing a scalable, serverless backend that scales automatically with user acquisition.
